Will Sarah Palin get a second chance at the presidency? – Part 4
And now, the President of the United States; Sarah Palin!
That would be pretty cool to hear, but will it happen? John McCain made a surprising choice when he selected Sarah Palin as his Vice-Presidential running mate. Not only was this a surprising choice, but it was also a great choice by McCain.
Sarah Palin is an attractive, intelligent, relatively conservative, middle class mother that took the Republican Party by storm. The main stream media suggested that she brought the McCain campaign down and may have cost McCain the election. That’s tough to believe when you see the large enthusiastic crowds that she drew.
Now that the McCain/Palin ticket has lost, what will happen to Sarah Palin? First off, she is committed to being Governor of Alaska until 2010. While gaining the experience of being a Governor for a full term should silence the Democrats on her experience as a leader, it probably won’t. There is no question that Palin all ready has the necessary experience and qualifications to lead this great nation. After all we have just elected a President who has not led anything, based on that fact; Sarah Palin certainly is qualified to be President.
The main stream media continues to come up with stories in an attempt to discredit Governor Palin. That should be a red flag to Republicans telling us that the liberals are afraid of the popularity and delectability of Governor Palin.
In my humble opinion, Mrs. Palin would be a very good President. She is not far removed from her upbringing in the middle class and she seems well grounded. There are so many politicians these days that either forget where they came from or they came from wealthy families to begin with. They get into Washington and the greed and power overtake them. I don’t think that would happen to Sarah Palin.
The Republicans have some good young conservatives that are rising to the top of their party. By the time the 2012 election rolls around people like Congressman Mike Pence of Indiana and Governors Haley Barbour (MS), Mark Sanford (SC) and Bobby Jindal (LA) among others will be in a position to make a good run at President. That will make it difficult for Governor Palin to win the nomination.
I don’t know if Governor Palin will run for President in 2012 since here youngest son will be 4 years old and about ready to start pre-school and kindergarten. If she does decide to run, she will be a formidable candidate. She now has experience on the national campaign trail, she will have a full term as Governor under her belt and she has tremendous popularity.
I think a great ticket would be Sarah Palin and Joe the plumber. A cool campaign button would be Palin and the Plumber. They would get my vote.
